Extensive pre-visualisation was required for this project as the turn around from Telecine giving us the final graded pictures to the final master was only a week. This meant that most of the job had to be created before we had any footage to match to. The previs was invaluable as it was used to demonstrate the intended result to the clients and agency at final pre produciton meetings and on set to the actors so that they knew why they were staring in amazement at thin air.

To accomodate a last minute request, the entire corner of the lounge room was re-created as a fully 3D animated shot. This allowed for the camera pan that was not shot as part of the live action.

Utilising parts of the live action plates form other shots and the original background plate, textures were created to be mapped onto the simple geometry seen above. An enourmous amount of work in painting textures and applying them to the geometry created a solution for the situation.
