Fire Horse Studio have been involved with TVS from the early days of it's conception. If you are in the Sydney Metropolitan area, you can tune into TVS free of charge through analogue UHF-31 on your TV.

TVS or Television Sydney is the first permanent free-to-air television channel to launch in Sydney in more than 25 years. It is a community based station with it's central broadcast facility in Western Sydney.

Scotty Wilcox envisioned a way of cost effectively capturing the community with the existing equipment and facilities at TVS and with a view to low post production costs.

To that end, Fire Horse worked as a consultant to TVS in assisting Operations manager Adrian Alback in certain equipment and software purchases making the entire package work for the Station.

Fire Horse engaged the services of Watusi's Justin Robson to sculpt the practical version of the "Frame".

The frame is a device to involve the people of the community in the TVS promo's in a simple, cost effective manner. It also 'brands' all the footage shot for TVS as owned by TVS.

The "Frame" is now in both a practical and a digital form through 3D animation.

Animator Chris Gardner then took the "Frame" and created 2 characters built from multiple sized versions of the frame.

Armed with the "Frame" and a video camera, Scotty Wilcox and TVS operations manager Adrian Allback spent a day in Manly filming a number of people and views that have been incorporated into
the first versions of the TVS Ident

Since delivery of the entire package of graphics to TVS, they have successfully created their own Indent using the data provided including replaceing the footage seen in the Ident. They have been made truly self sufficient with this approach.

Fire Horse Studio have donated the entire on air presentation package to TVS.

Scotty Wilcox has signed over the rights of the use of the "Frame" to TVS for as long as they remain a community based station.

Scotty has been generous on the basis that it may be the breeding ground for the future of Australian Television. After all, Australian Television is the reason Fire Horse Studio exists !!
